UCLA High Pressure Mineral Physics – Pre MS

I assisted in planning and preforming mineral physics experiments at the synchrotrons at the Advanced Light Source and European Scientific Research Facility. Experiments we did looked at the behavior of Kutnohorite, Aragonite, and Carbon Dioxide at extreme pressures and temperatures, which inform on the global carbon cycle. I helped debug, repair, and troubleshoot the lab’s Raman spectrometer for experiments on high pressure chemistry and crystalline structure. Links to published work are listed below.
