She used to bake cookies all the time and send them to her children and grandchildren through the mail. My father&#8217;s favorite is her sugar molasses cookie recipe, so here it is to share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>375F oven temp,&nbsp; 8 minute baking time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<br>\u00be C crisco,&nbsp;<br>1 C sugar,&nbsp;<br>\u00bc C molasses,&nbsp;<br>1 egg,&nbsp;<br>2 tsp baking soda,&nbsp;<br>2 C flour,&nbsp;<br>\u00bc tsp cloves,&nbsp;<br>\u00bd tsp ginger,&nbsp;<br>1 tsp cinnamon,&nbsp;<br>\u00bd tsp salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then chill dough in refrigerator for ~30 minutes while oven is preheating. Once dough is chilled, roll into ~1.5&#8243; balls and coat in sugar. Place on baking sheet ~2&#8243; apart.
