Production Team Systems Engineer
Symmetricom Sept 2010 – Sept 2012
I prototyped, built, and troubleshot hardware and software in production and helped contribute to a production profit of $3.0 million with a team of three others in 2011. I verified secure area destined systems for accuracy/stability and modified hardware for Afghanistan theater operations. I kept a device’s internal timing ensemble to pico-second accuracy for product disciplining. During my experience at Symmetricom, I managed, upgraded, scheduled, supervised training, at a facility for using a 2 kHz, 100 G vibration table for testing of parts in a simulated aerospace environment.
Systems Engineer Associate
Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, Specialty Engineering Department Jan 2009– Aug 2010
I authored reliability studies for commercial and research satellites and modules on the International Space Station and presented estimates to international (Japan), domestic, and US government customers. I built and supported portable vacuum chambers (nano-torr) for external site testing. While I was at Lockheed, I initiated a program for easy access to reliability data and programs. I also planned and conducted hardware radiation testing at Brookhaven National Labs, University of Maryland, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
